In the basket:

A small pair of pruning shears

      Last year I started to learn how to can. It was the first year for our garden too. The veggies did fine but my herb garden did not….learning curve!

    I found your site from the Tisket, Tasket giveaway. I do better with outdoor plants then indoor plants. I love herbs and flowers I’m getting better with my green thumb. My parents have a huge garden each year and I hope to follow their example soon as the situation allows.

    I guess you could say I have a green thumb! The children & I have a vegie garden every year & love to plant flowers around the yard! Being outside enjoying nature & real life learning at the same time is an awesome homeshool day!

  27. I do not have a green thumb, but my daughter and I have always enjoyed spring planting and growing flowers around our yard. She is so much better at it than I am. I’m about to hand over the landscape planting to her!

    I try all the time to grow and have some luck with outside plants but limited green thumb ability on inside plants.

    Okay, so it is not like hunter green, but maybe like a lime green. I absolutely love gardening. I feel my best when I am outside digging in the dirt. I am just not as knowledgeable as I would like to be as far as what plant should go where and when. I am still learning.

    Yes, I do have a green thumb. Praise God that He used both sets of my grandparents to inspire me in the area of gardening, I especially love to grow herbs. Goal this spring and summer is to resume herb gardening. Plus learn to do a raised veggie bed. Get lots of my tools off of Craigslist and my local freecycle.

  80. Oh my, I wouldn’t call it a green thumb exactly. I try…. I lost a lot of my flowers because of the cold. I guess I need to get out there and baby & talk to my plants and trees! My husband and daughter just got our vegetables all in the garden. We’ll see….

    Thanks for your site…I found you through the giveaway and it’s EXACTLY what I’ve been asking God for! I have four children, the last two seem to be struggling with dyslexia.     We love to garden. Our garden has grown a lot in the past 10 years. Each year I try new things. Some times I have luck while other times not so much. I have canned some stuff but look forward to canning more. My parents have taught me a lot about gardening. They do all the greenbeans so that is very helpful!!
